Understand the working context
The catalogue remains the source of product identity and description. Price-list entries supply the selling prices for a chosen context. Before adding another list, ask whether the difference is a common structure or a customer-specific agreement. Maintaining unnecessary copies makes broad updates harder to review. Keep list names, currencies and active status clear so colleagues choose the right basis when preparing a quotation.
Put it into practice
- Name each list for its intended audience or use.
- Confirm the currency and relevant products.
- Use customer agreements for individual exceptions.
- Review which active lists still serve a purpose.
A practical example
A business uses one standard list and a trade list. Most trade customers share the same basis, while a particular customer has a fixed price for one item. The fixed agreement can remain on the customer rather than requiring another complete list for that single difference.
In the current workspace
Atlas supports shared lists and customer agreements according to plan. Starter permits one active shared list; Pro and Enterprise add broader pricing capabilities.
