Understand the working context
A draft is a working document. An issued version is a reference to a particular offer, including its products, prices and totals. If quantities or terms change, keep the earlier version available and make the revision identifiable. Updating a product or price list later should not rewrite the commercial record of an offer already issued. The team should agree how it records the customer’s response and which version is being discussed.
Put it into practice
- Review the draft before issue.
- Keep issued document versions on the account.
- Make revisions identifiable when an offer changes.
- Check the accepted version before creating an invoice.
A practical example
A customer requests ten units, then asks for a revised quotation for twenty. The salesperson prepares a revision while retaining the earlier offer. When the customer responds, the colleague checks which version was accepted so the subsequent invoice follows the intended pricing.

Atlas preserves issued quotation PDF/price snapshots and supports revisions and recorded acceptance. This is not an electronic-signature or legal contract-execution service.
