Understand the working context
Review the people involved, active opportunities, recent notes and commercial documents. Check whether the agreed pricing still matches the working relationship and whether anyone is waiting for a response. A useful review produces a small set of owned actions. It should also identify information that needs correction so the next colleague has a clearer picture. Keep the discussion proportionate to the account instead of creating a process heavier than the work itself.
Put it into practice
- Review the current contacts and ownership.
- Check open opportunities, quotations and next tasks.
- Discuss any important pricing or document questions.
- Assign the agreed actions and record relevant context.
A practical example
A weekly review identifies an unanswered quotation and a renewal opportunity with an old expected date. The account owner assigns the next call and updates the timing after checking the customer’s situation. A concise note explains the outcome for anyone who opens the account later.
