Understand the working context

The sender delivers a message to a configured endpoint. The receiver must understand the event, validate it and decide what work to do. Delivery and successful business processing are different things: receiving a message does not prove that the intended downstream action completed. A receiving service should also account for repeated deliveries so that retrying a request does not create the same task or transaction again.

Put it into practice

  • Choose an event that the sending service actually supports.
  • Confirm what information the receiver needs.
  • Validate the sender and handle repeat deliveries deliberately.
  • Review failures and retry behaviour before depending on the workflow.

A practical example

A supported CRM event could notify an external service that a record changed. The receiver checks the event and decides whether to update a separate workflow. Both systems need a clear agreement about identifiers and what counts as successful handling. The exact available events depend on the product.

HOW THIS RELATES TO ATLAS

In the current workspace

Pro and Enterprise expose supported signed webhook flows with delivery retries and replay protection. Atlas does not offer every possible event or a general no-code workflow builder.
